How to replace the Samsung S8+ Plus Galaxy Battery

Before replacing your phone battery, please make sure to discharge the battery below 20%. A fully charged lithium-ion phone battery that is unstable or not handled correctly could combust or explode.

1: Use a heat gun or hair dryer to apply heat to the glass backing and warm it until the adhesive softens(not visible). Apply the suction cap to the backing glass on the phone and pull on the suction cap gently to lift the glass and create a gap. Insert an opening pick into the gap and gently slide it along the outside edges to cut through the adhesive. Repeat for all four sides.

2: When removing the glass backing the fingerprint sensor should disconnect easily.

3: Remove the eleven Phillips 3.7mm screws and separate the wireless charging coil and NFC antenna from the assembly.

4: On the bottom of the phone below the battery remove the remaining three 3.7mm Phillips screws and take out the speaker assembly.

5: Apply more heat around the battery to soften the adhesive and use the flat spudger tool or a flat pick to gently pry the battery out. Alternatively use a cotton swab with a tiny amount of isopropyl alcohol to weaken the adhesive around the battery then pry it out with the flat spudger tool or a flat pick.
